Some times we are in too much of a hurry to appreciate what we have, but that changed for me some time ago.

It was 20 years ago today I first diagnosed with cancer.........I had surgery and later a second major surgery for a second cancer then 6 months of chemo all within an 8 month period......it's been a golden 20 years....it changed my life and I am blessed.

Enjoy your day.:)

Jim, great story and good luck going forward. About 20 years ago, my wife went through the same thing. The chemo stuff was really bad, but today she is going strong and has had no problems. We are truly blessed.

Its amazing how a sickness can change a persons life for the better. I'm glad you beat it.

It is, I think of how today I have the wife and child I have becasue of my cancer, how perfect.

My thoughts today are with Kelly and Tom, I posted this so they might find some energy from my own path.....

What a fantastic thing to celebrate!

Thanks Ruth...I'm also celebrating my 49th birthday today as well, but each year since I was 29 I have not looked at it as any more than another year given back to me...and to make the most of it... When I was a geologist working for the GSC I once worked for a senior Geologist who sometimes wore a T shirt that said "Stomp on The Terra" ... I think of that every day.

Happy Birthday and Anniversary! My mother is sneaking up on ten years as a survivor. She, and it sounds like you as well, is doing far more than surviving, and enjoying every day! Congrats!

Jim, I'm not a deeply religious man, but I do believe all things are in some ones play book, Life is great and it's good to have you still around.;)
