I want to thank every one who prayed and sent good energy and thoughts for my neighbors son; Last evening at 11:15 PM Gary Hill passed quietly into a truly better place, no longer will he be shackled by infirmity and wracked with pain. My guess is he was met on the bridge by Pop who was his grandfather, Gary was raised by his Grandmother and his Grandfather who have become trusted friends of ours.
Back in the 70s my wife and I donated some of our time to Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy drives, but this is the closest we have ever been to a victim of this horrible disease.
His Mom was with him when he passed away, she said he just relaxed with a little smile and went home.
This was a bit hard on my daughter as she used to sit with him if his Mom had to go any where, and he was so close to her age.
If you are ever asked to contribute to a Muscular Dystrophy Drive, Please give to it. Living this close to a victim of it for the last 9 years has shown me just how heart wrenching this disease is.
Thanks

Bittersweet news.

MS Walks are all over the country, I usually participate in one once a year here in my town in one way or another. Its an easy thing to do, benefits many. I have a friend who literally woke up one morning and was stricken with it.

I'm sorry to hear it; he is in a better place. My prayers are also with you and your family as you grapple with the loss of your friend.

This is a crappy disease: my neice has it, too.

That's sad to hear.. but he IS in a better place now and able to run as much as he likes without pain or a wheelchair... Our prayers will continue for the family and your family Ken for the loss of a good friend!
