With the number of posts that have come about lately, I felt I needed to give credit where credit is due.

I placed an order on the evening of December 6th, 2010, online via the web site, with Penn State Industries.
(drum roll please) The package was delivered today!

I can't say enough. Quick and accurate service has never been a problem. No freebies like we have with several vendors here in the IAP, but quick service and very helpful. The one time I had a problem, they got me the part sent out the very next day.

Side note: I did specify to use "USPS only" on my account. The first time my order shipped newgistics it took almost a week to arrive.

That is all. Just another happy and satisfied customer.

I, too, have had outstanding service with PSI.

The only downside is that reading their catalog is like visiting a candy store - and causes me to want too much stuff!
 
My bride has banned me from seeing the PSI catalog but I sneak out to the box and get it ahead of her from time to time. It is cool being a 13 year old at 66, ain't it?

I also just got an order from them I placed it about a week and 1/2 ago and never heard anything back so called them the order was shipped the next day and got here in 2 days

dont know what was going on why it had no shipped before I called but a simple call did it

I love Ryan at wood Turnings I place an order goes out the next day and I get it in 3 days tops always spot on correct

I have never had a problem with PSI, but then, I have never had a problem with any of the vendors!!! Granted I have only made a few hundred pens, certainly a tiny amount compared to most of you guys, but I can say I have gotten maybe two or three defective parts in all the kits total.....of course now that I have said that......

Like an hour and 45 with traffic. I've never been to their showroom. I suppose it's nice. Much easier to order online...:biggrin:
 
You should try living much further away.

I got my most recent order yesterday (9 Dec), I placed the order on Nov29th, they shipped it on 2 Dec.

About par for the course.

My only real objection to PSI is that they usually take 3 or 4 days to ship

Well you are in the same state. :)

I ordered something few weeks ago on a Monday and received it the following Tuesday. Not to bad I guess. With the horror stories I was thinking it would be like 2-3 weeks before I'd get it.

I order from vendors all over the states. I've waited over a week at some vendors and had to remind them I had placed and paid in full for an order.

PSI gets bashed a lot and I posted my thanks to them is all. I order most of my stuff from WC.
Occasionally from CSUSA & Exotic Blanks.

I live about 35 minutes from them. They don't have a showroom. MLCS Woodworking is about 1/2 mile from them, and does have a showroom where they display and sell PSI products on some sort of consignment deal. They are totally different companies. They use to ship their catalogs together, but no longer. I've been to both locations. PSI's location houses offices and a warehouse. The warehouse is huge and filled with row upon row of shelving units. Can't tell you how bad I want to run down each row pulling stuff off each shelf as I went along. Fortunately, I was being escorted through to the office, that prevented me from getting into trouble.
 
Interesting. Thanks Timothy. Somewhere in the fog I call a memory, I thought they referred to a showroom. Classes or something if I recall. Maybe they were held at MLCS Woodworking. IDK.
 
I have never had issues with PSI but I always try to leave some play room for orders no matter if they were from that includes vendors from the IAP as well. Happy customers means they are more likely to return for more
 
The majority of the orders I've had through PSI have been fine...the one thing I dislike is that until your order ships, it basically falls of the face of the Earth. You can't check the status or anything until it ships.

The last order I had, I chose USPS Priority mail instead of the default UPS Ground. They charged me the additional priority mail rate, but still shipped it UPS! I was pretty ticked, and called them, and they put a credit on my account for a future purchase for the difference in shipping cost...I tried to use it on my most recent order, but I ordered on Thursday and I have yet to hear anything about my order, so we'll see whats up with that.
