Hi everyone, I hope things are going well for you all. I got a new toy today.
It is not a toy that goes in the woodshop but it is a toy that I have wanted to get for a few years now.
Well My new toy is a Kawai upright piano, I started to teach myself to play the piano a little over 5 years ago just by listening to George Winston and trying to play his songs, I have been using a nice electric Yamaha fullsize piano and it works great, I still use it. But I have to admit there is nothing like the real thing, I can squeez out more of the emotion from the real piano over the electric.
I play Georg Winston songs and songs that I wrote and it is the type of music where you need a real piano to get the full effect. Now that means I need to pull myself away from the new piano and get into the shop and work, well I will have time to play my new toy later.
Are there any George Winston fans out there???
By the way if there is any of you that want a homemade CD of my piano music and you don't mind the fact that it came from a self tought play by ear not knowing what I am playing in terms of chords or if I am any good or not, person, then let me know and I will send you a copy and you can tell me what you think, should I quit my day job
