I was working on putting some CA on an MDF blank that I got from a generous friend. I put quite a bit of CA on it and then left it to sit in my shop overnight, and when I went out the next day, this is what I discovered:

Unfortunately, I tried to revive the bug- well not directly via mouth to mouth or anything like that, but it was a hopeless case and I had to declare him DOA and get him off. Ever tried turning a bug?

Never turned a bug before. Thats crazy, thats one wild looking bug too. Almost looks like a mouse with a long tail and wings.
Cool looking blank anyway. Like the colors.

Hmmmm, straighten out his rear end a little. some creative pr work. and i think we have a new clip in the works here.

Put a hook on it and call it an interesting little fishing lure..??

Curious how you colored the MDF..??
And how does MDF turn? Thought MDF was more like pressed cardboard..?

ROFL, now that's awesome. I can't imagine what that poor thing suffered getting stuck in curing CA. Talk about getting gassed!

Bugs also like lacquer. I've sprayed a LOT of cabinet doors and boxes, only to find a !$#^^U#% fly halfway cast into the door's finish.
