Was not sure where to post this but just had to comment and it is pen turning related. After reading this thread and seeing this beautiful pen made by Dominic I asked where he got the material to make such a beautiful pen and he was kind enough to share his source. Right after that I placed an order because I had to have that blank. Here is the link to the pen. Should be a front page pen in my opinion. Vermont Freehand is vendor.

Anyway I got the blanks I ordered and" the first came" from his packaging. They were actually shipped in a wooden cigar box. Not sure if this is how he ships all his products but the box was handmade and had a nice smell. Not sure what kind of wood but it was different. Usually you get the ordinary cardboard box. Or bubble wrapped. Can not wait to make some pens from the blanks I bought. Have to use some special kits. Just added more projects to my very busy list this winter. I need to step it up. getting close to spring here and all those outdoor projects will soon be upon me.

I have a couple blanks from Vermont I'm waiting to use as well - along with some ebonite. They have some really cool looking blanks. I thought about ordering the one from that thread as well as it's a great design.

Yes and being an Italian made blank. Not a bad price at all. Wound up getting a couple others too. I have some of the ones he sells. I have plenty of ordinary acrylic blanks . I am all about the great looking blanks these days. believe I do not need blanks. But if I see a beautiful blank I will make an effort to buy.

Well hell, I got the flat rate box and bubble wrap

Maybe this was the only box he had left to ship in but it is not a standard cigar box. It has a Mexican label on it and is about 8" X 4" by 4" deep. It has box joint corners and metal hinges. As I said the smell could be from the cigars that were in it or is the wood. But kind of nice. Now he is a pipe vendor so maybe that is why. These blanks are more pipe oriented. But the Italian blanks are very nice.

OK. What am I missing? Where is the link for the blanks?
