Isn't there a law against desecrating a lathe?

Somebody needs to go to jail for this.
BTW, I called the guy to talk about the lathe. Sounds like the "artist" who painted it didn't quite know how to put it back together again. I'm thinking that it's more trouble than it's worth. I'll pass.
