As dictated by my Forensic Photography class, I photographed a project today. For this project, we were instructed to design, construct and photograph a crime scene. Being the morbid group of people that we are(Morbidity is almost a nessicary trait for the Forensic Science major),my group decided to stage a victim being struck by a train with the help of a decapitated dummy and alot of corn syrup with red and yellow food coloring (which looks like real blood to a crazy accurate extent). As far as projects for a class go, this one was fun. After we cleared the scene the fake blood remained so it realy looked like something shady went down there. We shot it in the ghetto of the city so assuming something did go down there isn't too unrealistic.
I can post the photos when we finish this project if they're of interest to anyone.

Reminds me of my highschool days... we made a video of a shakespeare play in which I shot a REAL bow at a friend of mine who caught the arrow on a wooden sheild. Also a lot of fake blood in that one, suprisingly no real blood.

Been at the scene of the real thing to many times. Helped pick up the real body parts. None of them were any fun. In my opinion this is not the place for such pictures. After you have been at the real scenes, you will understand my feelings.

I agree.

My apologies, When people work in this subject daily, we tend to forget that not everyone sees this kind of stuff as "normal." I decided that due to the sensitivity of some I wont post these here, but if you are interested, get in touch w/ me and I'll try to show u what we got.

While I'm not sensitive to this sort of thing, I worked too many years as a hard news photographer. Saw a lot of tragedy, including the body part aftermath of human/train encounters. I really do not need to see more.
