In response to "Edstreet's" Cocobolo bowl the other day I decided to get my "Fiddleback" Black Wattle blank out from the stack. This piece is the cored out centre and was also finished today. Unfortunately the outer part is heavily cracked and requires repairs before I can go any further with that one.
This little bit is pretty flash I reckon.:biggrin:
While looking back through some threads from days gone by I noticed some mention of "Tamarisk". I purchased a small bowl from a guy and then re-worked it to check the colouring. Attached are before & after pics.

Nice bowls, Bob. I like the save on the one on the right. Looks like you got all the torn grain taken care of.

Hi Billy, Yeh, that grain is sooooo soft and I finished up with walls about 1/8 thick. They were approx 3/8 to start with but there was also some loss in the re-shaping as well..
