Lately there has been a rash of info commercials telling about the "new methods" crooks are using to alter checks. Here is one such video.

I am wondering just how much effort it would take to alter these Uniball pens and make custom barreled alterations and offer them to customers with the idea that it is "The pen that prevents check fraud and theft of bank funds!"

Hummmm, scratching whats left of the hair on my head, maybe this is what the world needs?

Crooks have learned that it is possible to steal your checks from the mailbox, wash everything but your signature from the face of the check using easily obtained Acetone and then have a clean, blank check that you signed. Prosecution of these crooks is a tad bit difficult because you signed the check ... remember!

Watch the video and learn how simple it is to prevent this from happening to you. Be sure to share with others you know that write checks all the time to pay bills and such. This is VERY interesting and shows you why you need to go get a Uniball 207 pen! Walmart has them. They are marked "Helps prevent check fraud" on the packaging.

Be safe!

I understand quite clearly that it is the ink. The video is advertising for the Uniball pen and THAT is what I want to try converting.

Besides that, just where can you buy that type of ink? I do believe it would be far, far easier to simply use one's skill and talent and convert a less than $2.00 pen to one of our custom made pens and ride the wave of this info commercial! Sheeeeeese!

Heck, I was just sitting here pondering my navel dustball and wondering if they have lathe equipment in the jails yet? I know they have paint departments for the inmates to work in, but wood working stuff for "educational purposes" and practice?
