Although 60 metres underground, the trunks cannot be moved as they "crumble" when exposed to air and sunlight, which are especially harmful given the wood's age, the site's chief archaeologist Janos Veres said.

"For the Bukkabrany site, $220,000-$270,000 would be needed to preserve the taxodiums, scientists said."

So, we could send an IAP representative over with a sizeable dontation, a few gallons of CA and a saw! [:)]

The way I see it crumbling is ok as long as it doesn't turn to dust. I just need a piece big enough to make a pen. I can stabilize it once I get it. I'm planning a trip to get some, anyone have any tips on how to get by the security guards. [:)]

That should be easy...just offer to make them a pen from it [:)]

We could dig around it leaving the dirt on it as to not have it crumble to dust in the air. Then I can weld up a pressure tank around it. Fit up a little pipe. There problem solved. When do we start....lol.
