Here are 7 lamp stands that I made for a study of the book of Revelations. Each lamp represents each of the 7 churches spoken to in Revelations.
Each week I would turn a lamp stand and bring the unfinished lamp to the study for everyone to write thoughts and remembrances upon. Later I used a wood burner to make the words more permanent, and put a friction finish on each lamp. This was my first major diversion from pens and I'm pretty happy with the turnout (pun intended).
From left to right they are:
Pergamum Church - Ash log
Smyrna Church - Walnut log
Ephesus Church - Cedar log
Sardis Church - Apricot log
Thyatira Church - Oak log
Philadelphia Church - Walnut w/Sapwood log
Laodicia Church - Unknown log
