Anybody know what type of wood the light color is, i just don`t know. It is local to PA. I had it for about 25 years. I bought a 1/2" x 6" x 4 foot long for buck at a barn auction sale. I am making a sushi board, the light colored wood is going to be the feet on that small log slab of walnut. Thanks, if you can help. Carl

Well, with all of your suggestions, i will have to say Ash too. It is a bit more figured and the grian is more swirly then regular Ash. So i am going to call it figured Ash. I got that sushi or table center piece together, it looks really nice with the two woods. As soon as i oil it and it drys i`ll post a pic in OTWM here in IAP. Thanks, Carl
