She bought the 64 Comet brand new. Paid $3400.00 for it, it was fully loaded. That car still looks pretty good. Had like 17 lifetime warranty batteries in it and 7 lifetime warranty mufflers put on.
Ernie, thanks for sharing that was amazing. Now, I am not getting the 17 lifetime batteries. when does a lifetime take a new spin on life. It maybe that my vocabulary is bad? So, there is a limit on the life a lifetime? She bought the 64 Comet brand new. Paid $3400.00 for it, it was fully loaded. That car still looks pretty good. Hmm first car was a 1953 Kaiser Henry J
I see and understand. I think the term "lifetime" is a scam. The idea is to draw you in to something that sounds like the perfect solution...a high quality part that won't wear out. Fact of it is that the parts are no better and quite often worse than dealer parts. The idea seems to be to capture volume sales and the warranty is honored, but only if you have the receipt and even then, the part becomes free, but you pay the labor! <That's the biggest catch too...otherwise the entire idea would be fraudulent in my opinion.
