Many thanks to Ken for showing his new jig which enabled me to make my own and get this completed.

I miscalculated where the center of the knot would be, otherwise it turned out fine. I used black and heels dyed veneer - I wish I had used plastic since I think it produces better edges than veneer.

Using inspiration from Ken I created my own version of his jig, which enabled me to cut this five strand knot on a square blank.

I didn't take a picture of the jig, but will when I get back into the shop.

Considering that I seldom make more than one or two of any blank, the jig is probably over kill!

Bravo, Steve!!! You and Ken are changing the look of the 'celtic ' knot. Collaboration and perserverance wins out.
Have to agree about the veneer.
What numbering system did you use, if any?
