My daughter asked me about making pens for her friends. We talked about the kits and cost. She decided the Mesa/Sierra was the best combination of bling and cost. We used acrylics instead of wood partly for more bling and partly because finishing is easier. The middle pen is one that we cast. She did the drilling, most of the turning and all of the polishing. The turning I did was to round off the square blanks and some final cleanup if there was chatter. This was her first time turning.
