Thank you! I had a fellow powder coat some rifle casings a few years back. I need to get some more powder coated. I'm about out. That looks great!
Are the two black ones Cerakote?
Thank you! Always enjoy making them!Nice pens. Bet you got a bang out of turning them.
Very nice trade! You scored with that! The two pens on the right was traded off & delivered yesterday. Here is my dust collector that I traded for. It is a small dust collector that will be setting up behind my lathe.View attachment 334783

Very nice job! Here is one I made. A slimline on 308 brass, a copper kit and a label cast blank. The instructions I used are here: https://www.instructables.com/Make-your-own-Cartridge-Pen-blanks/
Ray-CA has posted a very good link with visuals of the steps to make the bullet pens. One step that I do different is the drill bit size. I think the 7mm drill bit size is slightly too tight since the brass casing allows no room for expansion when inserting the transmission. So I use a 9/32 drill bit. I do not solder my tubes in but use CA thick instead. I think soldering would be better. I may have to try that myself.@Sataro I think I could figure it out, but any chance of a short write-up on your process for these? I think people here in Utah would go nuts for these.
I just finished up another one. The 7mm hole was really tight and I had to re-drill to 9/32. Thanks Sataro for that tip!Ray-CA has posted a very good link with visuals of the steps to make the bullet pens. One step that I do different is the drill bit size. I was given some spent 308's recently and want to make a couple of pens with them. Thanks for the link to your instructions. They are very comprehensive and will save me a lot of head scratching. Here is one I made. A slimline on 308 brass, a copper kit and a label cast blank.
