I recieved my test blank today in the mail! It is a 3D scales blank, which is AWESOME considering the time of year!!

This blank is absolutely the BOMB! I have never seen anything quite like it! I knew they were cool, but this is almost too cool!!!


SOO..... For a teaser, I will tell you kind folks what i plan to do to this thing!!!


I AM GOING TO PAINT IT!!!


How am I going to paint it, you ask???

LOL. That is actually one of my nicknames. In the near future I plan to add a Grizzly bear swipe mark tattoo across my chest. Like the bear just missed gutting me.


Fun Fact for ya! I was, Honest to goodness, taught how to deer hunt, with a black powder rifle, by a guy named Jeremiah Johnson.

That's great. I'm laughing at this thread. I received a couple of the test blanks the other day. I am now contemplating my next move. I can't remember what the styles are called. One of them I spray painted metallic blue. Next I am going to paint the higher area's somehow..rolling it on a sponge maybe. Would like to do a 3 color blend on the high areas around the blank if I am capable of such a thing.

I am looking forward to seeing what everyone does with their test blanks!

Now that my bash pen is finished, I am going straight back to work on my tester!

Well all the painting is about done. The (insert pen part here) is poured and curing. I have to paint the (Insert painted part here) and then cast the blank. Should only be another day or two!
 
I am still working on it. My airbrush got broke somehow and i am trying to fix it. I may have to rethink my whole strategy.
