Here's my second semi-kitless. Used the section from an El Grande and the rest is my homebrew red/black alumilite. My first is pretty horrible, so we'll keep that one in the case!! Capped it is a touch over 5 1/2", uncapped it's 5 1/4" in length. Diameter is 5/8" at the ends and 1/2" in the center. Had fun with this one!! Followed the tutorial her on IAP (well, for the most part). Hope you enjoy and comments are always welcomed.

For a 2nd I was clueless about your keyless, but guessed you meant kitless. :biggrin:
Nicely made pen!!:good::good:

Good work. How do you like the el grande parts? My experience has been that they are good for the practice based on cost but are certainly a 'you he what you pay for' piece.

What would you have done differently?

The El Grande section was not bad at all to work with. I wasn't ready to shell out the $$ for the bock section tap (a little pricey), so I'm trying to learn on a budget. I actually enjoy the shape that I ended up with this one, but I do have some mild OOR issues that I'm trying to work out. Also, I need to do a better job of polishing my threads. Other than that, not bad for my 2nd one. Thanks for looking.

Dave

Easiest way I have found to polish the threads is to use a buffer. Nice job on the pen BTW.
