Looking forward to this "come and get what Santa forget to get you" meeting. ;)

Also, start working on or picking out a standout own from your collection, to add to the glass display cabinet next to all the pen kits & blanks. Let your work act as an inspiration to a pen making newcomer! Bring your work to the next meeting and let Rojo know so he can add it to the display.

Hello all,
I'm new-ish to turning, and an absolute newbie to pens. A couple of folks have already extended an invitation to this meeting, so here's hoping I can shrug off the post-Christmas slacker syndrome and work my way down to say hello!

I will be there tomorrow. I have not been actively pursuing any demos for the meeting, so we may not have anything for a demo. If someone has something they want to bring that they would like to show, demo or just talk about, you are welcome to bring whatever.

I have the key to the cabinet if someone would like to display anything or swap anything out.

If I had the secret to slim down 10 pounds, I would be rich!

See everyone tomorrow!

Alright, got the kids to bed and fixed a leak in the sink! Jonathan below is the basics of what you missed. Best demo ever!

Awesome to see all of the new faces today!

Here is the link of the video that I used to show the technique I use.

Good link and also talks about ratios of head and body sizes.

Making a Pepper Mill

Attached is the handout for the demo.

Great meeting yesterday. First off was the great demo. Thanks Warren.
Very encouraging meeting with the number of new folks.
We also had a changing of the guard. Our long standing leader (Robert rojo Johnson needed some relief so the position was taken by the capable hands of Kent(reddwil)Wilson. Thanks Robert for the six years of great work and thanks Kent for stepping up.
Last but not least thanks to Woodcraft for the great hospitality.

Georgia folks if you don`t attend you are really missing out.

I'd like to say thanks for the welcome I received, and thanks to all of the folks who talked me through a few problems I'm having / gave me some new directions to explore.

Warren, thanks also for the pepper mill demo and resources. As soon as I get my tailstock aligned, I'm going to have to try one.
