For those interested in a quick drying process, I discovered through this endeavor. They started out around 28%-35% moisture. And I was able to finish each on the 25th day. All Cherry Bowls, no cracking in any of them through the drying process. At final turning, 5%-8% moisture.
Steps:
#1 Rough out
#2 Anchor Seal ends and paper bagged
#3 Make shift kiln out of a small bedroom. (In the picture, you can see the simple heater that I used; it had a fan, and the room was kept at 90 degrees.
#4 Twice Turn or turn to finish.
