I made 5 stopper blanks tonight out of these. They'll work for shorter stoppers, I'll get a pic snapped off as soon as I turn one. They hold together, dont fall apart, they're dirt cheap, already have the shape you'd want, sweet!

That is a slick way to cast stoppers!!
could you possibly put a nail or screw in the bottom center to make a target to drill for the stopper stud, not sure it would work but it may be worth a try.
Thanks for sharing.

That's cool. if the castings don't come out of the mold just turn it away.

I have been using 30 Dram pill bottles which take 3 3/4oz (111 ml) of resin to fill them to the rim. I usually adjust my formulas for 3oz (90 ml). But I have been eyeing the Publix Activa yogurt cups they have a more taper are 4oz (120ml). Both are PP and have a nice demple in the bottom center. I get the Activa Yogurt with the weekly groceries and the pill bottles well you older fellows know how I get them... I just ask the pharmacist for them as I need more.

I'll have to try that for the taller stoppers.

Does the yogurt taste ok? They market to old people, so it makes me wonder...

The yogurt tastes like yogurt. I like the vanilla or the strawberry the best. The resin isn't too particular about the flavor though.

Who're you calling "old", Sonny Jim, er Skye? (said while waving a walking stick wildly overhead)

Well, they've got Jamie Lee Curtis in the commercials. She's getting on up there, but I still wouldn't kick her out of bed for using too much hardener.

Maybe I'll just shoot a little Pam into it then. As it is they peel off the paper, probably 80% of it, so it's not a real big prob.

Oh, and they're 3 oz cups, so you know how much hardener to use.

I bet the yogurt cups pop right out. I may have to talk the wife into eating some, I don't really dig yogurt unless it's got a ton of fat and sugar in it and it's frozen.

It SHOULD be many years before your bed partner NEEDS hardener!!!

Wow, great idea! Thanks, I want to make a big batch of stoppers before winter sets in too, so this will really help, as I'm kinda skosh on pill bottles.
