As an excited newbie and as somebody who plans 3 steps in advance could someone tell me why it is I'm exited about and how I should prepare for whatever it is.

This year the IAP will be 6. To mark the event there will be various pen turning contests, raffles, fundraisers and some IAP vendors may be offering discounts for the month of February. Last years event was brilliant fun. Everyone got involved and it brought our whole community together for the month. There was pen swaps, blank trades, you name it.
We had Loadza Loggers where we try to run down the sites server by having as many members logged in at the same time :biggrin::biggrin:. This year, with the help of our new recruits, we will try to beat last years record. If anyone has any ideas for new events for the Birthday Bash we can start a thread for them.
