    Triton Tru-Stone fountain pen

This was my first tru-stone attempt, a Black with Gold Matrix on a Triton fountain pen. Had a little trouble getting it to "shine" using my regular methods. Thanks to Andy (PenMan1) for some helpful advice, here is what I ended up with ... Comments welcome!

    Malachite Cambridge, sort of...

Had a few parts leftover so I put this one together. So much gold on the hybrid version of the kit this is from just looked too gaudy (even more than it already does:rolleyes:), so I put some black components from a churchill on to tone it down a little. Definatley not my favorite kit in the...

    Double closed Wild Horse Jasper

    Red Jasper Tru-Stone

Here is my first Tru-Stone pen. I would not have attempted to turn this material before I bought my Woodchuck. With the Woodchuck, it was a piece of cake. Good material to work with, but you have to guard against using too much polishing material.

Majestic Jr. with Bloody Basin Jasper Tru-Stone

Rollerball Majestic Jr. from PennStateInd. The blank is from Richard at randbcrafts. I wouldn't like this kit for myself but it sells really well. If you've not tried tru-stone yet, this blank is easy to turn and wet sands nicely. Wet sanded starting with 220 grit to 400 then wet mm to 12000...
