mesquite

Recently I picked up some sawmill cutoffs that a local sawmill was selling for bbq wood. I processed some, and still have more to cut. I was wondering how good this would turn. You be the judge. South texas mesquite.

Hello All :) I am in the beginning journey of wood turning and still trying to get reasonably priced hardwood. Here in San Antonio, Texas Mesquite wood is plentiful. Is Mesquite appropriate for small turnings? Really appreciate your advice Thank you Sammy

This is a bowtie style pen done on what started as a mesquite bowl blank. just cut it to size for the pen. The finish is three coats of Mylands. Comments welcome =)
