bowtie

So my wife had a girls night, which allowed me to head to the shop and turn out a new pen. It is a chrome bowtie style with cedar blanks used. 6 layers of CA used to finish with a Wax buff after. Thanks for looking! Comments welcome :)

This is a bowtie style pen done on what started as a mesquite bowl blank. just cut it to size for the pen. The finish is three coats of Mylands. Comments welcome =)

I was looking at this kit online... costs as much as about 3 cigar kits... 2 1/2 maybe? ... anyhoo, it sure looks (basically) like a cigar pen... Can you clue me in as to the quality or function that makes this a $9 kit? Thanks
