An excellent use for comparatively plain blank ends . I sometimes use more figured ones for bookmarks or ear rings .
The difficulty I find with pendants is displaying them in an attractive manner . One is easy - a black felt neck held upright at about a 70 degree angle . However , that takes up a lot of display space so others I display flat on a black surface at about 30 degree angle . Then , the cord becomes the problem that I struggle with . How do I coil it up and hold it together so that it lays compactly flat , appears nice , and does not detract from the beauty of the pendant .
Cord thickness and material enter into it . Yours appears to be about 1/16 inch . I use leather , about 1.5 mm , readily available in several colours .
Of course , the last display problem is dust and lint . Black does a wonderful job of showcasing all of it !
