Micarta on Jr. Independence

The blank and kit are both from Turner's Warehouse. The kit is their Jr. Independence in Rhodium plating. The blank was called "crazy layered" micarta. The colors don't pop well in the "posed" pictures, but picture of it in my hand shows the colors nicely.

This is my first time working with micarta. It was quite difficult to drill, even taking my time and making sure the bit didn't get too hot. It seemed to tighten around around the bit, and didn't file well so I ended up going up a bit size. This is a great chart to use for that.
