I just succeeded finishing another kitless one, the last one for this year.
This is made of stabilized maple burl, with black ebonite for the section and the finials and some brass for the rings. There's no clip, nor roll stopper. The nib is a two tone plated Bock #6 with high ink flow.

What is the finish? Looks nice, well done!

I sanded to 2K grit, then applied Danish Oil and Carnauba wax. The blank was already stabilized, so no chance that Danish oil to penetrate it, but this oil contains some resins which could form a very thin layer which (hopefully) will maintain some semi mate (or semi shinny ? :) ) look, temporary protected by Carnauba wax. At least this is my thoughts when I finish such pens. Any other opinions/comments are welcome!

I was womdering about a good finishing solution for such pens that are made from different materials i.e.metal, ebonite, wood. What finish would stick to the finished pen evenly? It seems that ca is the only solution..happy to hear your opinion/experience on that.cheers

Hi, sorry for late reply! Eventually, the finish depends on the client's request, some of them like glossy finish, so this would be CA glue, some other like just the natural texture and feeling, so you could just leave it as come up after (let's say) 1k, 2k grit and, if is the case, applying some oil (Danish or Tung) and some wax. For ebonite, I prefer to sand it with full Micromesh kit (which is up to 12K grit) and finally polish it with some Menzerna 3800 polish. Same for metal parts. I never apply CA glue on ebonite (is useless), or on metal (too artificial and tends to peel off in time). So, in conclusion, you have to play with these solutions and probably you will use one or another as per client wish or as you feel is satisfying for yourself.
