Another knot

Was trying something a little different with a celtic knot. I had a piece left over from some earlier segmenting and wondered how a knot would look on it.

Unfortunately the contrast isn't strong enough for the knot to stand out very well. Padauk with maple veneer, blue veneer for the knot, African blackwood for the caps.






There are a few other mistakes which will consign this blank to the trash!

You've been a knotty boy lately, Steve! That's good trouble in this case. I really like this idea, but agree with you about the contrast.
