Very clean. I would have never guessed Holly as one of the veneers. I would think it would be much higher of a contrast. With that said, I think the result is better this way, the three species work do nicely together. Good work, would have loved to see a picture of the blank pre-turning.

The holly is only .014 thick so you're not seeing a very big area.

Yeah, I get that, just almost looked the same as the primary in color. If you used pvc it would be obviously white, even at that thickness. I like your choice now more.

Wow, that's nice!! I really like the choice of wood/colors on this, too. Did you cut all the way through the blank? I know I've seen posts about not cutting all the way through to keep things lined up while gluing it up.

What size of blank did you start with? What did you use to make the cuts. Looks thin. Was it a 1/16" 7-1/4" blade in your tablesaw?
Blank was .870 and it was cut on my bandsaw with a kerf of .045.

1mm kerf is respectable, lol. Did you setup some sort of stop to prevent cutting through the blank or just pay close attention to cut depth?
Very close attention on the first cut and then I set up a stop block to match the first cut.

Thanks. That is thin and then match that to infill material in itself is a pretty tough job. Nice work. I guess we will see these on the web site. Good luck with sales.
I probably will put some on Etsy ,once I get a few more made. I have other things though I have to get to first.
