I always think about simlifying nibs and feeds to be made in my atelier.
Somehow I have a supplier fobie. I try to not depend on others and to make as much as possible by myself
Over the weekend I have realized a new project, making nibs from a 9 mm diameter stainless steel tube and a feed made from a 8 mm diameter Brass barr with a simple thread instead of a classic comb. I am surprised how well the nib and feed work.
Of coarse no tipping was done yet
Here some pictures for you how to make nib and feed on a Pantograph milling machine.

Excellent work!

My only advice is to check for signs of galvanic corrosion. Two different metals in contact with a solution that contains free ions (salts) will corrode in time - whether it happens slowly or quickly depends on the chemical make-up of the metals.

Thank you. I missed to mention this facts. Of coarse the brass feeds will be first Palladium coated as a barrier then gold plated
