This pen was a product of a lot of small pieces of scrap that I had laying around. Still new to Turning pins so I probably have a lot more to learn. But I think I'm off to a good start. I made my Blanks on this one . There are a few pieces of African paduk , spalded maple, Purple Heart, zebra wood and a few odds and ends. I did all my cuts on the bandsaw.
Then smoothed out the cut lines on my belt sander. I used inserts for turning. I also used 120 to 600 Grit paper. For my finish I used "woodturners finish". I get the Finish from Johnson's workbench in South Bend Indiana. They have a good selection of of wood and tooling also.
