I had this scrap piece of walnut and decided to try a four-winged plate. Well, I went through the bottom. (not happy) Searched a drawer and found this red teacup holder. Enlarged the whole to allow for it to fit perfectly into the hole and sit flush. I don't think people would know this wasn't planned if I didn't tell them. Imagination at work.

6" x 6" x 1/4"
A-symmetrical
Shellac and Laquer finish

Why do turners point out our mistakes that no one would ever know? You planned this piece just this way and it came out perfectly.
Well, my thought of pointing it out was to help others realize that boo-boos can be overcome and not to give up. On my Facebook page, I didn't mention it at all. After all, this is a learning site.
