While it's just a sierra style, this is the first time I've tried the Diplomat kit. It's a nice solid kit. I'm loving this olive wood, though. This was a Home Goods cutting board. Finish is 2 coats of medium and 2 coats of thin GluBoost, wet sanded to a low gloss finish.

Nice, makes me want to go out and turn some of the blanks I cut from a Trader Joe's cutting board!

Very nice. It's hard to beat olive wood. It turns nicely and has such a great looking grain. - Dave

PS Are you sure about it being a Diplomat kit? It looks just like the Elegant Monarch kits I get from Classic Nib or Turners Warehouse with the cross band.

Oh shoot, you are right! It is a Monarch Grande and is also from Turner's Warehouse. This is the one.
Oops, that's embarrassing. IDK how Diplomat got in my head. Squirrel!
