Betel Nut Pen

Hi everyone, here is a Betel nut pen that I made, this is the same Betel nut that they chew. I love the grain in tis vegetable ivory, I have turned a lot of different nuts from different palm trees, but this one has the best grain so to speak.

Never heard of the betel nut, and like Harlan Pepper, I'm pretty familiar with most nuts.

That's really nice, have you ever seen the Betel nut girls selling them in Taiwan? Where did you get the blank?

The nuts are about 3/4 -1 inch in dia and about 1-1 1/2 inches long, sometimes larger.

The kit I used was an Ultra Cigar.

I have never been to Taiwan; I have only been here in Hawaii. The Betel nut palm trees grow here in Hawaii, and I harvested them and dried them and made the blank myself.
