Kin = Gold, Hari = Needele, Nuri = Lacquer. Gold needles (Kin Hari) are placed randomly on a base of transparent lacquer. After hardening, many layers of transparent Uushi lacquer is applied and finally ground flat and polished. The gold needles appear sparkling in a reddish tone in the light

Thank you for your kind comments. A layer of transparent urushi after hardening measures approximately o.o3 mm to 0.05 mm.
The gold needles have a diameter of +/-0.40 mm. So quite some layers were applied.
Every layer takes 24 hours to harden in the "urushi muro" a special cabinet with an average temperature of 24ºC and a humidity of 75%
