Pen made from Box of Blanks received from 20th anniversary Bash

I received a great box of blanks from @kronewi as a prize from the 20th anniversary Bash. One of the blanks looked pretty cool, with dark (but translucent) resin and sweetgum pods:


I split the blank into two pieces for two pens. I painted the hole in one blank with a bright lime green paint (See the top two pics). The other blank I painted the hole with a yellow/orange paint. (See the bottom 2 pics)

It's really cool how the different color paints affected the final color of the finished pens.





I know we have had numerous threads about this topic, but I really thought the colors I chose really made the blanks "Pop".

WOW, that is super cool. Thank you for showing these and how the painting of the inside of the blank can impact the outcome.

You're right, the colors you painted the inside of the blank made a tremendous difference. I love the way each of them look.
