Hey all,
This is one of my favorite pens, which also happens to be one of my first. I made it for myself out of Afzelia burl, one of my favorite species. I used a Broadwell Nouveau Sceptre chrome with gold accents fountain pen kit from PSI, and it came out beautifully despite my finish not being the best (I've since learned better finishes). With the exotic woods, I really want to let the natural beauty of the wood speak for itself, so I don't want to turn crazy designs into it just yet that might detract from it. I instead try to make sure that the kit compliments or enhances the design of the wood.
Also, I've only found a few kits thus far that are truly high, high quality, like this one and the Beaufort kits. I'm open to suggestions, and hope you like this one!
