I just finished a series of scalloped pens. This was my favorite color combination of the quartet. It is made from Tulipwood, with bloodwood and aged cocobolo segments. I used aluminum from a soda can for spacers because I prefer the very thin metal. My wife gave me a very strange look because I was sanding off the paint from a full can of seltzer at 600 rpm'sā€” what a time saver. šŸ™ƒ

I'm sure this crowd will spot some smallish errors. Let me know what you think!

Great combination of colors. They go together very well. I looked closely at the scallops. When done well, they make a great pen. You did a super job keeping them aligned and symmetrical. The result: a pen to be proud of!

Excellent work. It is amazing how nicely the soda can accents turnout. Very crisp lines and not too thin. Well done.

That's gorgeous, Todd.

I've not been tempted to do any segmenting, but this really piques my interesting.

Inspirational.

Stunning pen! Really love that design, colors. So nicely done. You must have very steady hands, the precision on those cuts and how everything lines up so well, is amazing.
