Navigator style rollerball pan. 100 peices of four different woods, Paduck, Oak, Walnut, and Olive Tree. 8 white plastic rings, finished with 1 thick, 2 medium, and 8 thin coats of CA glue, sanded to 12,000 grit, then polished. Some mistakes and lessons learned

I love the way you laid out the segmenting Gary.
I haven't (yet) tried my hand at segmenting. I don't know if I am patient enough to do it.

Thanks, not sure if I did it right or not. Build a zero clearance jig for 15 degree cuts, glued up the oak segmant and walnut veneer, then glued up the pairs, got it all together, turned it then cut off the segments.

I'm just catching up on the threads here. Wonderful work Gary. I have really enjoyed those design I have constructed by varying the inlays - a wide variety of visual effects. I have tried your method and failed miserably šŸ¤£ , hence why I went with the trim router and cutter blades. Enjoy the ride as the variation is vast.

Again, great work.

Thank you Sir. The segmented rings were a challenge. I just got a set of slot cutters this weekend. Going to build a jig for the router.
