This is a Jazz bolt action pen from Crooked Mill in copper. I really like the Jazz pen kits, and have made several. You have to screw the knob into the bolt, but it's no problem due to the design of the threads. The spectacular hybrid blank was cast by my friend Dennis with locust tree burl. Dennis is an absolute magician with hybrid blanks. I dry sanded it to 3,000 grit. The finish is Pens Plus.

That's a cool looking pen and your friend has certainly made some beautiful blanks. I see you've been very busy besides just this one. I haven't had time to get anything done lately. I've ignored other things in favor of the lathe for too long and now I'm paying for it.

I took a little break due to some generic virus. But I got back into it over the weekend.
