Tried my hand at turning a salt and pepper mill. Salt is Ambrosia maple though it's mostly maple. Pepper is black walnut.

My biggest hurtle with doing mills is maintaining my patience while drilling 8 inches of blank with a 1 1/16" Forstner bit.

Those look great... I make a lot of pepper mills, but stay away from the standard mills with the knurl on top.... I prefer the CrushGrind... they are a lot more forgiving on sizing and since I'm a little measurementally I need all the forgiveness I can get.

I can adjust the shafts in the crushgrind to whatever size my mills comes out.
