Hello,

I've recently started exploeing/enjoying espresso cappuccinos and lattes at home. My son does as well.

As a result, I've been making a few custom tampers for us.

Ours is copper and walnut. My sons is bocote.

Terrible pics but you get the "picture...." LOL

BTW, It's hopefully hard to tell, but the Bocote tamper is two piece as well. Nailed the grain match and transition from handle to tamper base IMHO:) easier to see in the below rough sanded pic.

Beautiful work !! I like the choices of wood you used.
Here's mine. I used acrylic for it. I spent hundreds on the machine that came with a cheap plastic tamper. While it worked just as well it was cheap and looked cheap. These turned tampers look really good. I used a threaded insert in the blank so that I could unscrew the top.
