Late in 2022 I ordered some LeadTree blanks from Steven Davis, and just now got around to using one on this Cigar pen kit (from Berea).

The wood turned very nicely, and it took a nice shine. I like the burl-like figure in the wood.

That is a beautiful pen. The grain is amazing and your finish is spot on perfect. I have by my library chair a cigar pen (Berea) that I turned 11 years ago and the mechanism is as good as I have ever had. Well done and thanks for sharing.

I never seen or heard of this wood before. It's amazing. And the craftsmanship is excellent. Beautiful work !!!!

I had never heard of it either, but I saw pics of the blanks from Daviswoodessentials.com and decided to give them a try. I have gotten nothing but outstanding quality blanks from them.
