Finished this one up this afternoon. My client owns a mortgage brokerage, and green and white are his company colors.
That may depend on which way the market and interest rates go.Shredded money would be the next one.
Thanks Mark - I've got kind of a system down for them - this one was trickier as I had a heck of a time getting some super fine scratches out of it. I ended up carefully holding it and using my buffer. It's a miracle it didn't end up shooting across the garage.Beautiful finished pen, I really appreciate the finial - a short, but fun learning curve and adds a lot. Well done and thanks for sharing.
LOL, been there on the floor... Great finial though. Thanks Mark - I've got kind of a system down for them - this one was trickier as I had a heck of a time getting some super fine scratches out of it. I've thought about that. To my eye, the little thicker design works with the hardware as none of it is really subtle - and it allows it to show off a little more of the blank design. I've been working on some kitless designs that will probably end up a bit more of a subtle curve. If you are working on the final and shape may I suggest less of a cap top like that and do a more subtle curve. Again just my thoughts and if you said you settled. Never settle . keep an open mind.
I see what you are saying and everyone has their own eye and what works. You did a nice job with a very nice blank.I've thought about that.
