My brother is an avid deer hunter, and he enjoys a few sips of his favorite adult beverage when he's sitting in a cold deer blind. I picked up this blank on the Pen Turning fb page & made this one for his birthday coming up next month.

Nice. It would go well with the bottle stopper I made from a Jack Daniels barrel stave I picked up at Home Depot last year (It was actually a 1/2 barrel). It's stacked stave with the dark lines being the char from the inside of the barrel. It's not a Deer but they do have a medallion similar to this one that is a Deer.

Very nice - where did you get the medallion? I sometimes use lapel pins that I get from Zazzle in my bottle stoppers.

How about making him a "Tippling stick" full of Jack Daniels. That would keep him warm in the hide.
Not that I can find the parts over here in the UK.

Now that's a great idea! He has knee problems & carries a cane with him most of the time. I'll definitely look into that.

That is a nice bottle stopper, the medallion sets it off. Is he aware of the state laws on "tipping" while hunting? That is a no-no in Tennessee.
