I turned this Barron ballpoint this afternoon - it's a blue stabilized Maple Burl blank from @Benpen. Finished with one coat of thin and 10 coats of medium CA. First time with the Baron kit. I'm really happy with how well it all fit together.

As a photographer, I really should get a light box set up…..

Michael

Very nice and good choice for the wood. Here's my setup for photography: pens, fishing flies and anything else real small.
Harbor Freight clamp on lights, curly Q bulbs, neutral background of tan (have dark brown and grey). Lights can be moved on the cabinet doors or frame for maximum lighting. Wife made sheer cloth covers to diffuse the light.

Thanks - nice setup - I actually built a product light box a few years back out of shop lights and fabric - it worked really well to blow out the wights and just have the product displayed - sort of like a catalog. I packed it away - need to see if I can dig it out.

Looking good! Benpen does do some nice work with the dyes. He has an Etsy shop also - curlywoodstore - where I have purchased blanks as well.

This is similar to my setup. I use tin foil glued to cardboard for reflectors when I need to light up a spot or side a bit more. It's quite easy and adequately effective.

Good to know on the shop - thank you!

I used a display background and a nice SLR setup for the first time and the photos turned out pretty well...
