Closed to what I'm trying to accomplish but not quite there. This is Light Tahitian which I think is actually a part of the oyster family. I wanted to use Shark Vertebrae as accents. I thought the gold in the kit would go well with the brown in the shell but not too sure that happened. I also have a few of these kits I'd like to use and get out of the way. Another thing is that one vertebrae per tube looks a little off to me as well. They were wider at first but due to the shape of the discs they get thinner as you turn them. I'll try again soon. Questions, Comments and/or suggestions are always Welcome.

I never heard of Light Tahitian before, but I like what you have done with it.
If you showed your pen without your comments I don't think anyone could find any fault in it: I can't anyway.
Nice job, Kenny.

I'm not unhappy with the way it turned out just the balance. The vertebrae is hard to see because it blends with the background. I thought the gun metal plating with the gold crystal would look better as well. The pen itself is ok I'm just thinking on how to improve the color scheme and balance. Thank you for the reply and compliment.

That's a really interesting look. I like it and it looks like the pictures aren't really catching the full beauty of the shell. The vertebrae would probably work well for bands at the end of the barrels.

Thanks Todd. I'll check that out on the next one. I'm thinking of using a Gold Pearl so the vertebrae will show a little more. Do you think a band at each end of each tube? I'll slide them up and down to see if something stands out.
