Here are a few watch parts pens. Along with a few abalone pens. I ended up keeping the Yellow abalone cigar- I normally hate yellow, but something about that one….

All blanks are from Blankwerks (Jason Robinson)

NIce pens. I am always amazed at some of the watch part pens coming through here and the kits used. Having enough meat to embed them and still hold the shapes true without bulging is very good.

Question: what is the abalone material?? Is it paper thin wraping material or true abalone? Thanks. Would you care to share your source for it?

Keeping everything below the bushings isn't always possible, but I try to make it happen so each turner can adhere to their usual turning profile rather than have to adapt to mine.

It is a true abalone that is cut very thin, colored and then an adhesive layer added. It's then cut on a laser, using specific measurements for each kit style.

His source is me…or blankwerks.com. I have the website shut down for a few days while I'm traveling. Should be back online early next week.

Thanks Nick. You did great on these. Especially the yellow gold one that you didn't plan to do. You need to come by again. Sometime next week when I'm back.
